Condition
Some owners may comment that the door glass sticks in the full up position. This condition mainly happens in warm weather.
Cause
Soap used as an assembly aid may have left a coating on the window run channel causing the glass to stick in the full up position.
Correction
Wash the window run channel surface that comes in contact with the glass with De-natured alcohol to remove the soap film on the run channel. Also clean the black coating on the glass where the run channel comes in contact with the glass.
Important:
Do not scrub the flocked area with the solution as it may remove the flocking from the surface.
If the sealing surface of the glass run channel header (between the molded corners), shows damage or wear, then it should be replaced.
To ease the installation of the new parts, use glass cleaner or plain water. Do not use household or lavatory soaps, as the lanolin leaves sticky residue on the parts.
