Coolant TEMP Indicator

Coolant temperature data is calculated within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The coolant TEMP indicator is controlled via the class II serial data line by the PCM. The instrument cluster will illuminate the coolant TEMP indicator when the PCM has determined that the engine coolant temperature has reached a value of approximately 124°C (255°F).
