Arming the System

To arm the UTD system follow this procedure:
1. Close all the windows and place the shift lever in PARK.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the key.
3. Open any door.
4. Lock the doors with the power door lock switch or the UNLOCK button on the key fob.
5. Close all doors. The system is now armed.

After approximately 30 seconds the SECURITY indicator turns off, the system is now armed. Any detected forced entry activates the alarm. To disarm the UTD system, refer to the Disarming the System. Disarming the System (Standby, Delayed, and Armed Modes)
