Play

The CD (Tape/CD or Tape) button is a sequencing momentary contact type switch that causes the unit to enter the playback mode. The operation of this control is explained under the following two conditions.
^ Single playback CD or dual playback units with no cassette loaded.

Depressing this button with a CD loaded will cause the CD to begin playing. This button will have no effect if a CD is not presently loaded.
^ Dual playback units with both CD and cassette loaded.

Depressing this button will cause the last selected playback device to start playing. Subsequent button closures will toggle between playbacks.

Depressing the TAPE/CD button, from all modes of CD deck operation (excluding stop), causes the CD mechanism to halt and the cassette to start playing. Depressing TAPE/CD with a cassette active and a CD loaded, will cause the cassette deck to stop and the CD to resume playing from the same location as when stopped.

Play will be continuous with a wrap back to the first track after the last track has completed. In CD changer applications, play will be continuous from one disc to the next, with wrap back to the first disc after the last track on the last disc has been played. If ignition is removed or if the unit is turned off with any CD mode active, the unit will revert to the play mode, from the previous location, upon reapplication of ignition voltage and radio power-up.

A box will appear around the CD symbol in the display when a CD becomes active.
