Scan

The SCAN push-button is a non-latching control which provides forward scanning of CD selections. This button is shared with the frequency scan function in tuner mode and with cassette scan in dual playback applications. When the SCAN button is depressed, audio will be muted as the deck increments to the beginning of the next track. The unit will then begin to play the first 10 seconds of the track prior to again incrementing and playing the first 10 seconds of each consecutive track. If the SCAN button is again pressed while the function is active, the SCAN function will be canceled and the present track will continue playing.

For remote CD changer applications, scan will operate between tracks on all available discs.

The SCAN symbol along with the track number will appear in the display while in the CD scan mode.
