Balance

The balance (BAL) control is a 270° rotary pop-out pull knob with center detent that is shared with the fade function. The control adjusts the relative volume between the right and left speakers. The control is operated by first depressing and releasing the knob to the out position. Rotating the knob clockwise will cause a volume shift from left to right speakers and conversely, rotating the knob counterclockwise will cause a volume shift from right to left speakers. At full rotation in either direction, audio will be completely eliminated from the corresponding left or right channels. Depressing and releasing the knob a second time will return the knob to the in position. This control is active in either the in or out position.
