Radio Replacement



RADIO REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE






1. Remove the instrument cluster trim plate. Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Replacement
2. Remove the fasteners (1) that retain the radio to the instrument panel.
3. Partially remove the radio.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
5. Disconnect the antenna lead (4) from the radio.






6. Remove the radio (2).


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE






1. Partially install the radio (2).






2. Connect the electrical connector (3).
3. Connect the antenna lead (4) to the radio.
4. Align the radio to the Instrument panel.

NOTICE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

5. Install the fasteners (1) in order to retain the radio to the instrument panel.

TIGHTEN
Fasteners to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).

6. Install the instrument cluster trim plate.
