Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Refer to Body Control Module (MALL), for diagnostic procedures. Body Control Module
2. Check PWR DR LK FUSE and INTR LP Fuse in RH Rear Junction Block.
3. If one door lock actuator locks and unlocks, but other door lock actuators do not function normally, check wiring to the suspect actuator. If wiring is OK, replace actuator.
4. If an actuator's internal circuit breaker trips, it does not reset until voltage is removed from actuator.
5. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and harness connectors.
6. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
7. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures. Diagnostic Aids
