Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check RH rear junction block PWR WDO/SUN RF CIRCUIT BREAKER by operating power windows.
2. If sunroof does not operate for ten minutes after ignition switch is turned to the OFF position, refer to Retained Accessory Power (RAP), for diagnosis.
3. Partially lower headliner, release clutch and manually crank sunroof using a 4 mm hex wrench.
^ If there is mechanical binding, refer to Roof for repair procedures.
^ If sunroof operates smoothly from hand crank proceed to the Symptom Table.
4. Check that all sunroof connectors are seated properly.
5. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove GOOD in a continuity/voltage check. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures.
6. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may effect the integrity of other systems. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedure. Diagnostic Aids
