Fuel Gage

The fuel level sender provides a signal to the instrument cluster that is proportional to the fuel level. With a full tank, the fuel level sender resistance is 240 ohms; with an empty tank, the resistance is near 40 ohms. The instrument cluster converts the analog signal from the fuel level sender to a digital signal and displays the fuel tank level.
