When handling an electronic part that has an ESD sensitive sticker, refer to General Information under Diagnostic Aids. Follow these guidelines to reduce any possible buildup of electrostatic charge:

Important
^ Do not open the package until it is time to install the part.
^ Before removing the part from its package, ground the package to a known good ground on the vehicle.
^ Always touch a known good ground before handling the part. This should be repeated while handling the part, sliding across the seat, sitting down or getting up, or doing any walking. Not all parts that may be damaged by electrostatic discharge have an ESD sensitive sticker. Refer to General Information for more information.
