A/C Evaporator Tube

A/C Evaporator Tube:

Tool Required:
J 38042 Dual O-Ring Joint Separator
J 39500 Air Conditioning Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling and Recharging
(ACR4) System

Remove or Disconnect

1. Recover refrigerant from A/C system.
2. Condenser outlet dual O-ring joint using J 38042.
3. Evaporator inlet dual O-ring joint using J 38042.
4. A/C line clips.
5. A/C evaporator tube.

Install or Connect

1. A/C line clips after positioning A/C evaporator tube.
2. Condenser outlet and evaporator inlet dual O-ring joints simultaneously (hand tight) to assure correct line orientation, then tighten connections to specifications.

Tighten
^ Dual O-ring joint connections to 24 N.m (18 lb. ft.).

3. Evacuate, charge and leak test A/C system.
