Installation Procedure

Description:

1. Route the pigtail through the front end sheet metal and attach all of the pigtail clips.
2. Install the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor (2).
3. Install the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor mounting fasteners (3).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Vehicle Damage Warnings.

Tighten
Tighten fastener to 11 N.m (94 lb. in).

4. Connect the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor harness connector (1) to the pigtail connector.

Description:

5. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (2) to the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor harness connector (1).
6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
