Removal Procedure

Description:

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
2. Remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (2) from the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor harness connector (1).

Description:

3. Disconnect the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor harness connector (1) from the pigtail connector.

Description:

4. Remove the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor mounting fasteners (3).
5. Remove the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor (2).
6. Remove the clips from the pigtail and route the pigtail through the front end sheet metal.
