This bulletin is being revised to add the 1998 model year and update "Condition" and Parts Information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 73-81-25 (Section 8 - Chassis/Body Electrical).
Condition
Some owners may comment that the Parallel Park Assist Mode becomes inoperative and both mirrors become unresponsive to switch inputs. The Parallel Park Assist Mode and both mirrors operate properly after a memory recall is performed. The condition occurs after quickly shifting in and out of the reverse gear.
Some owners may also comment that the RH mirror moves up too high. This condition occurs after Parallel Park Assist Mode or after shifting from the park gear.
Correction
Replace the Memory Seat/Mirror Control Module, Part Number 25682217.
