Component and System Description

The mechanical components of this unit are as follows:
^ A torque converter with a Torque Converter Clutch (TCC)
^ A drive link assembly
^ Five multiple disk clutch assemblies: Second, Reverse, Direct, Coast, and Forward
^ Two friction bands: Intermediate/Fourth band and Low/Reverse band
^ Two planetary gear sets: Input and Reaction.,
^ Three one-way clutches: two roller clutches (Second and Low) and one sprag clutch
^ A final drive and differential assembly
^ One control valve assembly
^ One vane type oil pump

The electrical components of this unit are as follows:
^ Two shift solenoid valves, 1-2 and 2-3
^ A Torque Converter Clutch Pulse Width Modulation Solenoid TCC, PWM Sol.) valve
^ A Pressure Control Solenoid valve (PC Sol. Valve)
^ An Automatic Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor
^ Two speed sensors: Input and Vehicle Speed Sensor
^ An Automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure Manual Valve Position switch (TFP Val Position Sw)
^ An Automatic Transmission (A/T) Wiring Harness
