Wiper Arm: Testing and Inspection

Description:

1. Run wiper arm and blade assemblies to mid-wipe position.
2. Remove wiper blade assemblies from wiper arm assemblies. Refer to "Wiper Blade Assembly Replacement."
3. Attach a scale to wiper arm attaching pin and measure the force required to lift wiper arm perpendicular to windshield to a normal working height (height with blade assembly attached).
4. If the force required is not within the specifications given below, the wiper arm assembly should be replaced. Refer to "Wiper Arm Assembly Replacement." Service and Repair
Tip Pressure - Newtons - 8.3 to 10.1 (Ounces - 30 to 36)

5. Install wiper blade assemblies to wiper arm assemblies. Refer to "Wiper Blade Assembly Replacement." Wiper Blade
