Disc Brake System: Service and Repair

After replacing the brake pads and/or refinishing the rotors, the new braking surface should be burnished. Make 20 stops at the speed of 30 mph in order to burnish new braking surfaces. Use firm pedal pressure and stop at least every 15 seconds. Do not over heat the brakes.
