Preliminary Inspection

Improper operation can be caused by one or more mechanical or electrical problems. Before beginning diagnosis, visually inspect for the following:
1. Disconnected or damaged wiring. Refer to Electrical Diagnosis.
2. Binding or misadjusted cruise control module-to-throttle linkage.
3, Binding or misadjusted pedal release switches.
If any such faults are noticed, repair as needed.
