Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Disconnect the battery cables and remove the battery.
2. Remove the flex duct to upper air cleaner.
3. Remove the lower air cleaner mounting bolt.
4. Remove the air intake duct from air cleaner assembly.
5. Remove the upper and lower air cleaner assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Align the upper and lower air cleaner assembly to the intake duct.

NOTE: Ensure that the attachment pins are properly located into the bracket holes. Verify full engagement of the intake duct onto the resonator neck and no contact of air cleaner assembly to strut tower.

2. Align and engage the lower air cleaner pins into the battery tray.
3. Install the lower air cleaner mounting bolt.
- Tighten Lower air cleaner mounting bolt to 6 Nm (53 lb. in.).
4. Install the flex duct.
- Tighten Flex duct clamps to 5 N.m (44 lb. in.).
5. Install the battery and battery cables.
