119. 2-1 Manual Band Servo Assemble





1. Inspect the components of the manual 2-1 band servo for the following conditions:
- A damaged, worn, or porous servo piston cylinder
- A damaged, worn, or porous servo piston
- A damaged or worn servo piston pin
- A broken or damaged servo piston spring
- A broken or damaged servo piston cushion spring
- A damaged or plugged servo exhaust screen
- A damaged servo cover gasket
- A damaged servo piston seal
- A damaged servo piston cylinder O-ring seal





2. Attach the servo piston spring retainer (110), the cushion spring (109), and the servo piston (108) to the servo piston pin (111).
3. Use a small screwdriver in order to install the servo piston pin snap ring (106).
4. Affix the servo piston seal (107) onto the piston (108). Lubricate the seal with automatic transmission fluid.
5. Attach the servo exhaust screen (115) and the servo piston cylinder O-ring seal (113) onto the cylinder (114). Lubricate the O-ring seal with automatic transmission fluid.
6. Attach the servo piston spring (112) to the piston assembly (108).
7. Install the servo piston assembly (108) into the cylinder assembly (114) and set the assemblies aside.
