DTC B1982 Source/Battery Voltage High:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The battery voltage is supplied to the SBM at connector C1 terminal C9. The SBM determines if the voltage is within a valid operating range.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
DTC B1982 sets when the battery voltage is above 15.5 volts.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
^ DTC B1982 stores in the SBM memory.
^ The SBM will not respond to any manual or memory inputs when the voltage is greater than 15.5 volts.
^ No driver warning message displays for this DTC.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
DTC B1982 clears when the battery voltage is above 15.0 volts.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
^ The DTC disables the setting of most other SBM DTCs.
^ DTC B1982 may set if the vehicle is placed on a battery charger set on boost or fast charge.
