Alarm Mode Activation

Perform the following procedures in order to verify that the system activates the alarm mode:
1. Turn off the following components:
^ The headlights
^ The park lights
2. Open a window so that the door may unlock from the outside. Use the manual door lock knob.
3. Place the system in the armed mode. Refer to Arming the System. Arming the System
4. Reach through the window in order to unlock the door using the manual door lock knob.
5. Open the door. The system enters the alarm mode causing the following conditions to occur:
^ The horns sound intermittently.
^ The exterior lights flash for approximately 3 minutes.

After 3 minutes the system shuts down automatically.
