Fuel Pump Control Unit: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel (1).




3. Remove the fuel pump control module attaching nut (3).
4. Remove the electrical connector (2) from the fuel pump control module (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




1. Install the fuel pump control module (1).
2. Install the fuel pump control module attaching nut (3) to the fuel pump control module (1).

Tighten
Tighten the fuel pump control module attaching nut to 9 N.m (80 in lb).

3. Install the electrical connector (2) to the fuel pump control module.




4. Re-position the trunk liner (1).
5. Install the negative battery cable.
