DTC B1983 Source/Battery Voltage Low:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The battery voltage is supplied to the SBM at - connector C1 terminal C9. The SBM determines it the voltage is within a valid operating range.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The DTC B1983 sets when the battery voltage tails below 9.0 volts.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
^ The SBM stores DTC B1983 as current
^ No driver warning message is displayed.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
DTC B1983 clears when the battery voltage is greater than 9.5 volts.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
DTC B1983 disables the setting of most other SBM DTCs.
