Front Door: Adjustments

1. Remove the door.
2. Remove the hinges from the pillar and door.
3. Ream the stud holes in the pillar side of the hinges in order to allow adjustment.
4. Reinstall the hinges to the pillar and door. Leave the nuts on the pillar side of the hinge loose.
5. Align the door, as needed.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

6. Tighten the hinge nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the hinge nuts to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).

7. Perform the following steps in order to adjust the door:
7.1. Loosen the nuts on the door side of the hinge.
7.2. Align the door, as needed.
7.3. Tighten the nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).

8. Readjust the door glass. Refer to Window Adjustment - Front Door or Window Adjustment - Rear Door.
