Door Replacement - Rear
REMOVAL PROCEDURETOOLS REQUIRED
^ J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover
^ J 39346-A Mini-Wedge Door Striker Aligner
1. Mark the location of the hinges (upper and lower) on the door.
2. Remove the door trim panel.
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Remove the energy absorber pad.
5. Remove the window inner and outer belt sealing strips.
6. Remove the door window.
7. Remove the power window module.
8. Remove the stationary window.
9. Remove the door frame applique.
10. Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip.
11. Remove the window channel retainer.
12. Remove the front window run channel.
13. Remove the door latch.
14. Remove the outside door handle.
15. Remove the weatherstrip.
16. Disconnect the door wiring harness connector from the body wiring harness connector (insert).
17. Remove the wiring harness clips (2).
18. Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
19. Remove the door check link.
20. With the aid from an assistant, remove the door.
21. Remove the rear door hinges.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the door hinges to the pillar and the door.
2. Install the door.
3. Install the door check link.
4. Route the wiring harness and conduit into the door.
5. Install the door wiring harness clips (2) to the inner door panel.
6. Connect the door wiring harness electrical connector to the body wiring harness electrical connector.
7. Install the door weatherstrip.
8. Install the outside door handle.
9. Install the door latch.
10. Install the front window run channel.
11. Install the window channel retainer.
12. Install the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip.
13. Install the door frame applique.
14. Install the stationary window.
15. Install the power window module.
16. Install the door window.
17. Install the window inner and outer belt sealing strips.
18. Install the energy absorber pad.
19. Check the door for proper adjustment. Refer to Door Adjustment.
20. Check the door window for proper adjustment. Refer to Door Adjustment.
21. Install the water deflector.
22. Install the door trim panel.
23. Check the window and door lock operation.
