Perimeter Lighting

Perimeter lighting is a feature that allows the following components to illuminate when the vehicle is unlocked using the transmitter:
^ The headlamps
^ The park lamps
^ The backup lamps

Perimeter lighting provides a well lighted area around the complete vehicle for 15 seconds while the vehicle is unlocked using the transmitter.

Program the ON or the OFF function for each transmitter by holding the power door lock switch and pressing the panic button on the transmitter. The first press maintains the current status. The second press, while the power door lock switch is pressed, toggles the status.

The horn chirps feedback while in the programming mode. One chirp means that the perimeter is disabled. Two chirps means that the perimeter lighting is enabled. In order to enable perimeter lighting, the Remote Activation Verification (RAV) mode must be set at 1,3 or 5.
