Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the front seat assembly.
2. Remove the head restraint.
3. Remove the seatback trim cover.
4. Remove the shoulder belt roller assembly.
5. Remove the seatback cover from the seatback cushion.

IMPORTANT: Do not damage the wire or the connector when removing the electrical harness.

6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Remove the 2 bolts (2) on each side of the seatback frame (4).
8. Remove the seatback frame (4).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the seatback frame (4).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Apply Loctite(TM) 242 (GM P/N 12345382) to the seatback frame bolts. Install the 2 bolts (2) on each side of the seatback frame (4).

Tighten
Tighten the seatback frame bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Connect the electrical connectors.
4. Install the seatback cover.
5. Install the shoulder belt roller assembly.
6. Install the seatback trim cover.
7. Install the head restraint.
8. Install the front seat assembly.
