Self-Diagnostics - HVAC System - Automatic

The heater and the A/C programmer contains self diagnostics. When using the scan tool, the self diagnostics are designed to identify any system malfunction as specifically as possible. The diagnostic determines whether or not the malfunction is one of the following types:
^ The current type
^ The non-current (history) type

There are 24 Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in order to assist with diagnosis. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Symptom Table for a listing. Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions

The letter H after any of these DTCs indicates a history code. Example: DTC B1310H = History.
