Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Pad Replacement - Upper

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the right side sound insulator.
3. Remove the right side IP endcap.
4. Remove the IP cluster.
6. Remove the IP lower trim panel.
7. Remove the retaining screws fastening the right side vent duct.
8. Remove the retaining screws fastening the left side vent duct.
9. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the temperature sensors.
10. Remove the right vent duct.
11. Remove the left vent duct.
12. Remove the radio.
13. Remove the AC/heater control.
14. Remove the right side vent duct fastener.
15. Remove the right side vent duct.
16. Remove the speaker.
17. Remove the right and left windshield pillar garnish moldings.
18. Remove the fasteners securing the IP trim pad.
19. Pull the IP trim pad rearward slightly.
20. Remove the IP trim pad.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the IP trim pad partway.
2. Align the IP trim pad with the carrier.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the fasteners securing the IP trim pad.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the left and right windshield pillar garnish moldings.
5. Install the speaker.
6. Install the right side vent duct.
7. Install the right side vent duct fastener.
8. Install the A/C/heater control.
9. Install the radio.
10. Install the left vent duct.
11. Install the right vent duct.
12. Install the retainers fastening the left vent duct.
13. Install the retainers fastening the right vent duct
14. Install the IP lower trim panel.
15. Install the retainers fastening the data link.
16. Install the IP cluster.
17. Install the right side IP endcap.
18. Install the right sound insulator.
19. Enable the SIR system.
