Condition
Some customers may comment that the passenger outside memory mirror does not move into the parallel park assist (PPA) position when the vehicle is in the reverse gear. Additional customer comments may include that the passenger outside memory mirror does not return to the original or start position when the vehicle is shifted out of the reverse gear.
Cause
This condition may be due to the software in the driver's door module (DDM) which controls the PPA feature incorrectly processing a Class 2 position change message from the transmission selector.
Correction
Replace the Driver Lock & O/S Rearview Mirror & Power Window Control Module Assembly with a new control module, P/N 25721016.
Refer to Front Door Control Module Replacement in the Doors sub-section of the Service Manual.
