Recommendations/Instructions
Dealer is to inspect the channel plate sleeve for being mispositioned. The channel plate sleeve tcc feed passage should line up with the channel plate passage. If the passages are not aligned the dealer is to replace the channel plate and if the torque converter shows signs of overheating (torque converter body discolored) also replace the torque converter. This channel plate sleeve is located in the channel plate where the oil pump drive shaft passes through and thrust washer item #514 rests against.
