Door Lamp: Service and Repair

Courtesy Lamp/Reflector Replacement - Door (Bulb, Front)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the appropriate front side door.
2. Using a plastic flat-bladed tool at the forward edge of the door courtesy lamp assembly, carefully release the forward retainer.
3. Carefully pivot the courtesy lamp assembly rearward to access the lamp socket.




4. Rotate the lamp socket counterclockwise to release the socket from the lamp housing, then remove the socket.
5. Remove the bulb from the socket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the bulb to the door courtesy lamp socket.
2. Install the lamp socket to the courtesy lamp housing, then rotate the socket clockwise to secure.




3. Carefully pivot the courtesy lamp assembly forward to the installed position.
4. Press the forward edge of the courtesy lamp assembly to secure the forward retainer.
5. Close the side door.
