Rear Door: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Mark the location of the upper hinges (3) and the lower hinges (2) on the door.
2. Remove the trim panel.
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Disconnect all electrical connections from the door electrical components.
5. Remove the rubber conduit from the door.
6. Disconnect the wire harness from the door.
7. While the door is being supported, remove the hinge-to-door bolts.
8. With the aid of an assistant, remove the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. With the aid of an assistant, install the door to the hinges (2,3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the hinge-to-door bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the hinge bolts to 48 N.m (36 lb ft).

3. Connect the wire harness to the door.
4. Install the rubber conduit to the door.
5. Connect all of the electrical connections to the door electrical components.
6. Install the water deflector.
7. Install the trim panel.
