Fuel Pump Control Unit: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel (1).




3. Remove the fuel pump control module attaching nut.
4. Remove the electrical connector from the fuel pump control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the fuel pump control module.
2. Install the fuel pump control module attaching nut to the fuel pump control module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel pump control module attaching nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the electrical connector to the fuel pump control module.




4. Re-position the trunk liner (1). Refer to Compartment Close-Out Panel Replacement - Rear.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
