Shift Indicator - A/T: Adjustments

1. Set the parking brake.
2. Block the wheels.
3. Remove the instrument panel steering column opening filler in order to access the shift indicator cable adjuster.
4. Place the shifter in Neutral.
5. Move the adjuster in order to completely fill in the N window with the orange flag.

7. This figure represents acceptable orange flag placement.
8. Verify the adjustment by moving the shift lever up and down slightly while in the Neutral detent.
9. Allow the shift lever to rest in its relaxed Neutral position.
10. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
11. The orange flag indicates proper gear location in every gear when the shifter is shifted through the entire transmission gear detent range.
12. Return the shifter to Park.
13. Install the instrument panel steering column opening filler.
14. Unblock the wheels.
15. Release the parking brake.
