Front Side Door Replacement
Tools Required
* J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover
* J 36796 Clip Zip Tool
* J 39346-AMini-Wedge Alignment Tool
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the door module.
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Remove the inside door handle.
5. Remove the window inner belt seal strip.
6. Remove the outside rear view mirror.
7. Remove the window outer belt seal strip.
8. Remove the window.
9. Remove the window weatherstrip.
10. Remove the door frame applique.
11. Remove the window regulator.
12. Remove the rear window channel.
13. Remove the outside door handle.
14. Remove the door latch.
15. Remove the upper auxiliary weatherstrip.
16. Remove the door bottom auxiliary weatherstrip.
17. Disconnect the door wiring harness connector from the body wiring harness connector.
18. Remove the wiring harness clips (2) from the inner door panel.
19. Remove the rubber conduit and the wiring harness (1) from the door.
20. Remove the door check link.
21. Remove all the plastic nuts and retainers from the door shell.
22. Remove the door.
23. Remove the door hinges.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the door hinges to the door.
2. Install the door.
3. Install all the retainers into the door shell that were removed during disassembly.
4. Install the door check link.
5. Route the wiring harness and the conduit into the door.
6. Install the door wiring harness clips (2) to the inner door panel.
7. Connect the door wiring harness electrical connector to the body wiring harness electrical connector.
8. Install the door bottom auxiliary weatherstrip.
9. Install the upper auxiliary weatherstrip.
10. Install the door latch.
11. Install the outside door handle.
12. Install the rear window channel.
13. Install the window regulator.
14. Install the door frame applique.
15. Install the window weatherstrip.
16. Install the window.
17. Install the window outer belt seal strip.
18. Install the outside rearview mirror.
19. Install the window inner belt seal strip.
20. Install the inside door handle.
21. Adjust the door if needed. Refer to Door Adjustment.
22. Install the water deflector.
23. Install the door module.
24. Install the door trim panel.
