Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement (Without interior lid release handle)

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the lid latch assembly.
2. Remove the latch cable from the lock cylinder.
3. Remove the fasteners securing the lid latch assembly.
4. Remove the lid latch assembly.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the lid latch assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the fasteners in order to secure the lid latch assembly.

Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the latch cable to the lock cylinder.
4. Connect the electrical connectors to the lid latch assembly.
