Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
2. Remove the power brake booster heat shield.





3. Remove the air flow duct.
4. Remove the bolts from the crossover pipe.
5. Remove the crossover pipe.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the crossover pipe to the exhaust manifolds.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the crossover pipe bolts.
- Tighten the crossover pipe bolts to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the air flow duct.





4. Install the power brake booster heat shield.
- Tighten the power brake booster heat shield bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
