Scan Tool Data Definitions
8 DIGIT GM PART NUMBER: The scan tool displays an 8 digit alphanumeric number. The part number of the module.BATTERY VOLTAGE: The scan tool displays 0-18 Volts. The voltage measured between the module's battery positive voltage circuit and ground circuit.
CALIBRATION ID: The scan tool displays 0-9999. The number designating what calibrations the module contains.
COMMANDED GEN: The scan tool displays Disabled until the generator is commanded ON by the PCM.
COMMANDED STARTER: The scan tool displays Disabled until the generator is commanded ON by the PCM.
COMPONENT SERIAL # 8 - 11: The scan tool displays 0-9999. The first partition of the serial number.
COMPONENT SERIAL # 12: The scan tool displays 0-9. The second partition of the serial number.
GENERATOR PWM: The scan tool displays the % time that the generator is ON.
RUN/CRANK: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The scan tool displays Active when the Run/Crank circuit of the DIM receives a battery voltage signal from the ignition switch.
JULIAN DATE OF BUILD: The scan tool displays 0-9999. The day of the year that the module was built.
PROM ID: The scan tool displays 0-9999. The identification number of the modules internal PROM.
SERIAL NUMBER: The scan tool displays a 18 digit alphanumeric number. This number indicates the modules internal programing codes.
STARTER ENABLED RELAY: The scan tool displays OK unless there is an open on the coil side of the relay, then fault is displayed.
YEAR MODULE BUILT: The scan tool displays a 1990-2020. The production year the module was manufactured.
