Linear Shift - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure





1. Remove the upper and lower shrouds assembly. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
2. Remove the electrical BTSI actuator assembly only. Refer to Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
3. The lock cylinder should be in the off-lock position.
4. Disconnect the park lock cable assembly (1).
5. Insert a small screwdriver into the slot on the lock module assembly and push against the locking tab to remove.





6. Remove 3 flat head 6 lobed socket tap screws from the linear shift assembly.
7. Remove the linear shift assembly from the steering column.
