Engine Coolant Temperature

The PC illuminates the temperature indicator whenever the PCM sends a class 2 message requesting illumination. The class 2 message for the indicator is the same as that for the temperature gauge. The IPC determines when illumination of the indicator occurs based on the temperature value received from the PCM.
