Auxiliary Lighting
The Body Control Module (BCM) allows the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module to control the interior lighting through the auxiliary lighting control circuit. When the keyless entry transmitter is used for a remote lock or a remote unlock function, the RFA activates the auxiliary lighting input on the BCM. The BCM then activates the theatre dim-1 and the theatre dim-2 outputs for up to 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds, the BCM enters the delayed illumination mode for another 25 second period. A door open input will end the auxiliary lighting mode and the BCM begins the delayed illumination mode. If the ignition switch turns to RUN, the theatre dim-1 and theatre dim-2 outputs will be deactivated. The outputs also deactivate if the lock all doors switch activates. The BCM performs no other auxiliary lighting function until the input transitions from inactive to active.
