Cell Phone Use
There are many suppliers of cellular telephones in use today throughout the United States. In general, radio reception may be degraded due to interference generated from the cellular telephones. This interference may occur when making or receiving phone calls, charging the phone's battery, or simply having the phone ON. The interference is typically described as an increased level of static while listening to the radio. If the vehicle has a cell phone, turn OFF the phone and unplug it.
IMPORTANT: If the vehicle is equipped with an after market cell phone and the mast antenna is mounted on the rear windshield, make sure the antenna base does not overlay on top of the radio antenna and/or defogger grid lines.
