Fender Replacement - Front



Front Fender Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement.
2. Remove the wheelhouse assembly.
3. Remove the fender sound insulator.
4. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) in Bumpers.
5. Remove the lower hood hinge fasteners.
6. Remove the seal that retains the hood to the fender.




7. Remove the bolt retaining the fender (1) at the headlamp opening.




8. Remove the bolts (2) retaining the bottom of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.




9. Remove the bolt (2) retaining the top of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.




10. Remove the bolts (2) retaining the fender (1) to the upper rail.
11. Remove the fender (1) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the fender (1) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts (2) in order to retain the fender to the upper rail.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





3. Install the bolt (2) in order to retain the top of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





4. Install the bolts (2) in order to retain the bottom of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





5. Install the bolt in order to retain the fender (1) at the headlamp opening.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

6. Install the lower hood hinge fasteners.
7. Install the seal that retains the hood to the fender.
8. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) in Bumpers.
9. Install the fender sound insulator.
10. Install the wheelhouse assembly.
11. Install the headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement.
