Brake

The IPC illuminates the BRAKE indicator whenever the EBCM sends a class 2 message requesting illumination, via the class 2 serial data line. As a backup, a discrete input from the EBCM also illuminates the indicator. The illumination of the indicator occurs because of one or more of the following reasons:
^ The park brake is on.
^ A low brake fluid condition is present.
^ An ABS malfunction is present.
^ The brake switch is not connected.
^ An ABS State of Health (SOH) failure is present and the discrete backup for the indicator is open.
^ The bulb check occurs.
