Headlamps

The headlamps may be turned on 2 different ways. The headlamps will turn on when the headlamp switch is placed in the ON position. If the headlamp switch is left in the ON position, the headlamps will be deactivated after 10 minutes following a ignition switch transition to the OFF position because of the battery rundown protection. If the headlamp switch is turned on with the ignition switch in the OFF position, there is not a time out and the headlamps will remain on until the headlamp switch is turned off or the battery runs down. With the twilight sentinel in an ON position, the headlamps will automatically turn on during nighttime conditions when the ignition switch is in the ON or START position.

When the low beam headlamps are on, the high beam headlamps may be turned on by pushing the headlamp dimmer switch away from the driver. When the headlamp dimmer switch is pulled back, the headlamps will then switch to the low beams.
