Inoperative Power Sunroof in Open/Closed Position
(Replace Sunroof Control Module Assembly)

2000-01 Buick Park Avenue, Ultra
With Sunroof (RPO CF5)
Built Prior to VIN Breakpoint 14128248 for 2001 Models Only

Condition

Some customers may comment that the power sunroof may not operate in either the open or closed position

Cause

An over current condition at the sunroof control module microprocessor may cause the power sunroof to be inoperative in either the open or closed position.

Correction

Modifications to the sunroof control module assembly have resulted in the correction of this condition.

Replace the sunroof control module assembly,P/N 25678050.

Refer to Power Sunroof Express Module Replacement in the Roof sub-section of the Service Manual for the replacement procedures.

Important:
The part number for the sunroof control module assembly has not changed. New modules will have a white dot next to the part number label and/or a date code of 0213 or higher.
