Circuit Description
The courtesy lights are composed of the following lamps:^ The dome lamp.
^ The roof rail courtesy lamps.
^ The I/IP courtesy Lamps
^ The inside rear view mirror.
The courtesy lights operate under the following conditions:
^ When any door is open.
^ When the headlamp switch is in the DOME position.
B+ is applied to the DIC/RKE fuse at all times. The DIC/RKE fuse supplies voltage to the RKE RUNDOWN PROTECTION relay coil side. and B+ is applied to the switch side of the relay directly. When the ignition switch is in the ON position then the BCM applies a ground to the relay. and the BCM then applies ground to the BATT RUNDOWN PROTECTION relay through the inadvertent relay control circuit. This energizes the relay closing the switch and applies B+ to the IP BRP fuse and the TRK/ROOF BRP fuse. B+ is then applied to all the courtesy lamps. When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEAD position ground is applied to the dome lamp switch circuit to the BCM. The BCM then applies a ground through the theater dimming ground control circuits to all of the courtesy lamps, turning them on.
